Felix Milton, a chartered financial planner with Devon-based firm, Philip K Milton, said he hopes the firm can turn itself around.
He said: “It’s sad to see Scottish Widows have so many negative reviews and clearly there are some serious customer service issues at the organisation, though I am pleased to see the company proactively addressing the negative reviews on Trustpilot.
“Indeed, I have spent many minutes on the phone trying to speak to Scottish Widows for various reasons in the past and have generally found it to be helpful when the phone was answered.
“Hopefully the company can turn itself around from a customer service perspective.”
In June 2023 Scottish Widows joined Trustpilot to get feedback from customers. Underneath many of the bad reviews the company can be seen asking for more information to follow up complaints.
